Ok, so I posted on Tuesday night...
Wednesday, I managed to get myself invited to a cute boy's surprise birthday party. I didn't mean to, it just happened. J was turning 24 and his family was throwing this party. He thought they were just all going out to dinner and then going to C's for cake. Turns out, when he got to C's, there were 10 people hiding in the room off the kitchen. He was very surprised! It was fun to hang out with Christians. Ok, so they were cute Christian boys, but at the same time, the whole group was a lot of fun.
Thursday & Friday were pretty dull as far as the boys went. Friday afternoon, I drove to King of Prussia and met B for a mini-girls weekend. We had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and shopped until the mall closed at 9:30. Saturday morning, we went to the Corner Bakery Cafe for breakfast. The food was alright, but the service was nothing special. We were in the mall when it opened at 10. (We are so proud of ourselves!) Shopped for 2 hours, then I was on the road at noon, headed for South Jersey.
Traffic thru Philly wasn't too bad - at least it was moving! - and I got to Joy's just after 1. She was hosting Laura's baby shower. I was the surprise guest, 'tho I didn't know that ahead of time! They asked me to write down the gifts she received. I was very honored and thankful to be involved. She got a TON of stuff! After all the presents were opened, we ate. mmmm... I got back on the road around 4:30, hoping to make it back in time to catch some of the Jr. B game.
Traffic in Philly wasn't moving very much at all, but I got back for most of the game. They won 7-0. For all the people who are so glad the NHL is back, I have this to say: "You have obviously never been to a junior game!" Shooting, scoring, fighting, never giving up - it was all there.
So it's been back to work this week. I got called in early yesterday morning because KMC's b-i-l is possibly getting re-deployed to Iraq this week and she/they were/are pretty upset about it. I don't mind going in early for her - she's such a sweetie! Today was rainy/cold, so we were BUSY! Makes the day go fast!
Speaking of going fast... I can't believe it's the last day of January 2006! Where has the time gone?! Know what happens today? All coupons dated 1/31/06 expire. Which is why I'm going to Target!
