travel

Well, I'm off to Seattle to attend WWC. I don't want to go. I am terrible at packing, but I think it's almost done. I already said bye to everyone. I feel like I don't fit in on either coast. I'm headed to RF after WWC. I'd rather just go there. (No offense to my West Coast friends.) I spent most of today working on VC stuff to help Mom out. I'm whiny and I have a killer headache and I can't find stuff that I need to pack. And I don't have a job. Wow. Anybody wanna be my friend? Sorry about that. Rough week & a half. Love you! xo

home again, home again (?)

Greetings from humid Vestal, NY. I arrived home around 9 p.m. Friday evening. It was a trying day. I didn't get enough sleep on Thursday night and had lots of traffic & weather from there on. It made me realize how much I appreciated that open roads that were out west. Oh, right. A correction is in order. I spent Thursday night in Portage, Indiana rather than Gary. I was on the phone going thru Chicago AND Gary, IN. I got to Portage and decided I was too tired to go on. So that's where I crashed. At yet another over-priced room. But the wireless was great - yay! :) After spending full days in Wyoming & Nebraska, I was in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania & New York on Friday. It rained in the last 3, often so hard that it was difficult to see. And even harder to take pictures of the "Welcome to [blank]" signs. Grr! I stopped only for gas or food and not to see any points of interest. Which doesn't add any interest. I did, however, drive thru Cleveland. At o...

in case i didn't send you the email - sorry!

Greetings! I apologize for the lack of communication. I have been unable to obtain a wireless connection until tonight. So where have I been? On Saturday, the 7th of June, I left Kirkland's Cafe Ladro at 8 a.m. Pacific Time. I traveled 405 - 90 - 82 - 84 - 86 to American Falls, Idaho. I stopped to see the Teapot Dome and Darigold. I stopped at several scenic overlooks to take pictures. I arrived at my friends' house at 10:15 p.m. Mountain Time. That was a very long day! Marc & Michelle and their beautiful daughters welcomed me with open arms. I spent Sunday with them and left Monday after a leisurely breakfast. Monday was spent driving to Salt Lake City. I saw the Great Salt Lake from the freeway, but was unable to get to it when I tried getting off the [most likely wrong] exit. So I drove around downtown SLC and didn't want to pay for parking, so headed back to the freeway. The drive out of SLC to Park City is fabulous! I didn't actually go into the city itself, ju...

travel

Howdy, y'all! I left Seattle on Saturday, June 7th. I arrived in Aberdeen, ID at 10 that evening. It's a 12-hour trip and I made several stops along the way. But even with all those stops, I still made it in 13 hours! Yesterday was really nice - it was neat to finally be here! M & M had a sing last night. It was the young people and the young couples. I got to hold Amanda Sue. She's too cute! This morning is bright and sunny and I'm not sure whether to go to Jackson Hole or Salt Lake City. The choices one must make, eh?! I'll keep you posted. xo
