My friend Josh informed me that Feb. 14 is "Single Awareness Day". Another friend, when I shared this information with him, dubbed it "Single Awareness Week." I had to agree. After all... I'm the one who mailed valentine's to my single friends! :) Seriously, I worked all day and went to prayer meeting in the evening, so I didn't even really think about it being any different from any other Tuesday.

I did, however, eat WAY too much sugar! lol

Last night, I went on a bus trip to a "home" game that was much closer to the away team's town than to "home." Logistics! Anyways, the game was, well, not good. They got breakaways. Our goalie got blamed - but there were no d-men in front of him, so it wasn't totally his fault! On the way bus on the way back, the somewhat attractive male sitting behind me became really friendly and ended up asking for my number. Made a crappy game seem not to bad. HOWEVER... I know absolutely nothing about this guy, other than that he: is from around here, is a hockey fan, and is cute. Does anyone else see the problem with this?! We have games this weekend, so we'll see what happens.

Interesting article about getting the NHLers out of the Olympics. (I'm all for it!) Seriously, I know I'm not living in an NHL town and our AHL team isn't so hot right now, but people have no idea who plays or sometimes even if there is hockey here. The American general public has no interest in hockey. It's too bad really. Maybe I should just move to Canada?

I finally got on another ferry. Hey, they cost money and you have to have the time to go somewhere... Anyways, a bunch of us went to Bainbridge Island for dinner Saturday night. We ate at Cafe Nola and it was FAB! But then we had to run to catch the 10:30 ferry back to Seattle. But it was FUN!!! :) And I think I could live over there. :)

So I went on a date on Monday night. This guy could be my twin as far as hockey & coffee go. He likes his booze a little too much to be my identical twin. He turned 21 on Monday and wanted me to meet him out. I'm so not a bar person, but this little place across the corner from the arena is clean and fairly bright and since it was after the game, I knew just about everyone in there. I went straight from the mall and didn't bother going into the game cuz it was just about over. I had a sandwich while I was waiting and when he finally showed up, he got a drink and ordered his wings to go.
