merry christmas
There's been a lot of press about saying or not saying "Merry Christmas." As a non-celebrator (is that a word?!) who deals with the general public this is my theory. Basically, if someone says "Merry Christmas", I return the greeting. If the next person doesn't say anything, I say "Enjoy your holidays!" Either is acceptable and I'm not sure why it's suddenly such a big deal this year. That said, I think I've wished more people a "Merry Christmas" this year than I ever have in my life!
I keep asking movie star what he's getting me for Christmas and instead of answering, he asks what I want. But I don't want anything, so I shrug and say "surprise me." I think I'd take just a phone call... My secret santa got me a Cheer Bear and a mistletoe candle - the first to cheer me up, the second to help attract cute boys. It definitely made my day! :)
Update on the guy friend...he called me the other night...after the hockey game...after he'd had a little too much to drink. He had threatened to because he thought it would be "funny." We had just lost and I had to be at the mall until 11. I was not amused. Please tell me why I think this guy is attractive?!!! I really need to get over him! I did buy him a funny Christmas card that I want to give to him, but I'm not sure I even want to be friends with him any more. My (earlier-mentioned) friend/co-worker said to dump him!
I've been working a ton of hours between the two jobs and retail at Christmas time is insane. 2 days before Christmas and our major shopping road is a parking lot instead of a road. I didn't go out at lunchtime because I knew I'd never get back. So I'm still hungry - I didn't eat enough earlier and waited too long so I'm hollow in my middle, but don't feel like eating. I think I need to pack a lunch for tomorrow. 8 - 4 again tomorrow - hooray! Even more craziness! Guess I should get some sleep!
