A friend/co-worker is convinced that I should go after this guy friend of mine because he's really searching for a girlfriend - like it's an all-consuming activity for him. The details are that he's attractive and sweet and we have similar personalities, but that's where it ends. He's not a believer and I am and that's a HUGE difference for me. So tonight he came into my store at the mall, not once, but twice! Said co-worker thinks this is HUGE. I have no idea if I'm supposed to be reading something into it or not. ACK!
Phew! That's off my chest.
This weekend was B's surprise birthday party. It wasn't just a surprise for her - I wasn't exactly sure what was going on! But A & I drove to PA on Saturday morning and got to B & C's house in time to head out to lunch. We spent all afternoon at a friends house, raced back to B & C's house to change and go out for dinner. The restaurant was very plosh! The 6 of us got to sit in a round booth with really a high back. The manager came over to greet us and said he'd never seen a more attractive group of women - or something along those lines. I don't know what duck terrine is, but it tasted good and it was compliments of the chef, so... Then C & C had to leave and A, B, C & I went to the rodeo. Calf wrestling, calf roping, barrel racing, and lots of bull riding were followed by a 'free' concert by Jason Aldean. His hit single is Hicktown. He didn't want to follow the tradtion of saving the hit single for the end, so he played it mid-concert. The people down on the floor stayed, but pretty much everyone up in the stands took off after that song, 'cuz no one knew any of the rest of his songs. It made me laugh that he lost all those prospective fans because of not wanting to "follow tradtion." Whatever.
After meeting on Sunday, the 4 of us had dinner at Macaroni Grill. That was yummy, but the waiter wasn't very good at his job. And he didn't project his voice really well, so we were forever asking him what he was saying. We laughed when we walked out the door. The restaurant is at the end of a very upscale shopping plaza, so we went to Starbucks, then Aerosoles, Children's Place, Ann Taylor Loft, New York & Company, Chico's, and ended up having ice cream at Maggie Moo's. Unfortunately, the Clark's store wasn't open. :( Needless to say, A & I got a much later start home than we had planned on. It was a great weekend and really nice to spend time with B & C.
Back to work this week with the thought of finding something to wear to K & R's wedding. I found a really cute red dress at David's Bridal, but am not sure I want to spend that much money on a dress I might only wear once. I'm so clueless when it comes to these formal things! I am hoping to go shopping tomorrow, but it might snow, so we'll see what happens...
And on that note, I think I'll go to bed. Perhaps this week I'll get a chance to blog again?
